In a blink of eyes…

2 out of 2009’s 12 months have passed.
1 month has gone since I went back for holiday
5 months has passed since I went for training

And in another blink of eyes
Another month is starting
1 month to my next rotation
2 months to my mid training
3 months to another rotation

Time just flies. Doesn’t it? Have just watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (thanks downloader, you know who you are). I agree that it should win the special effect awards in Oscar. The aging effect is powerful! Story wise… it imposes to me how precious time is, and reminds me to always live my life to the fullest :)

Another moral of the movie was: Cool people writes diary! (just joking) Put down your thought somewhere if you feel that it worth remembering.

Today I woke up at 12, cleaning up room until 2, having porridge as lunch at 3, raining at 4, and thinking of what to have for dinner at 5. Worth remembering cause this is such a precious relaxing weekend.

Happy Birthday, Adi Putra~

Flashing fast ending weekend…

Even the weekend is flying off so fast T_T What is wrong with time? I’m so scared to blink and find my self with grandchildren around me. Hahaha..

Anyway, my Friday has been quite good. I had a conference call for half day, continued with a nice lunch with moja and nata and her friend, then relax for a while before my nervous presentation at 5… and ending my work of the week at 11pm. Tired but feel relieved that it is over =]

Saturday, I woke up at 6am. Yeah, I didn’t type a wrong time. Sleep at 2, woke up at 6. For the sake of morning sport at botanical garden. Hahahaa…(of course it’s not true) One of our high school friends was visiting us, and of course I wont miss the chance to meet her. I was so sleepy, but the visit was a good one. After botanical garden, we continued with Marina Barrage. Gosh, I never know that this kind of place exists in Singapore! It was a good educational visit, and of course worth visiting with all the free shuttle and free tour around :p

Guess which is our "star" :p

After a so “nature-loving” visit the whole morning, we have a great lunch at Vivocity. The lunch was really great. The quality was good, and the quantity is just nice (read: aloot). I decided to go back while the others continued their journey to Mount Faber. I slept all the way on bus, and lucky to wake up one minute before my drop point. It was raining… and just a nice weather for a long nap… but then…

The great cheesy baked pasta @ Mussel Guys

I realized that I haven’t done my chores at home T_T ending up doing the sweeping and brushing until around 7.. then relax for a while before che2 and bol2 visit at 8. Thanks dear for buying me dinner :p hahaha… My roommate was back at 10, and both of us were so tired and decided to sleep early for the day…

I slept for at least 12 hours before waking up at 11am. Having a quick shower, I then went off for my first KFC since CNY. It was still as good as usual, less the long queue. I think the business was somehow affected by the big stretch of cafes opened at the JP2. I finished my lunch and having some walk before going back to home.

Once back, I relax for a while, having dinner, and then continued with an Angeline Jolie’s movie: “Changeling”. It was a good long movie. Glad that in the end the justice won. Wonder if the film will make its way to Oscar this year. I’m yet to watch the CCBB =D

Anyway, it’s 11.30 now… going to sleep after ironing my bulk of cloths T_T

The Contrary

I know we should
Work smart not hard
But I seem to have been working hard without feeling smart at all

I know I want to
Drink more water, less caffeine
But I have forgotten the last time I go to pantry without getting a coffee

I know I suppose to
Sleep early, wake up fresh
But I have been waking up late and being an owl at night

I know I would prefer
Feeling warm at office, cozying at room
But I have been freezing at office and sauna-ing due to the broken Air Con T_T

I know I understand that
Life is full of contradiction
But I’m still living happily it anyway

Current situation: so many things on queue, but I have reached my saturation point today

Flashingly fast weekend ahead,
ED

The Wonderful Weekend~

I was a bit overloaded at office, but I’m not complaining. I know I’m not the only one. Everyone looked quite tense T_T I received my first ‘bonus’ on Tuesday. The nervous feeling when entering the big boss office beat my happiness towards the bonus.

The days in office have passed very fast. I somehow always feel reluctant to leave office. The hardest time in a day is to wake up at 6.30 every morning. Once I managed to get it started, I’m fine :) Oh, I break my own record by waking up at 7.30 this week =.=’ Lucky that I was still able to get to office on time.

On Friday afternoon (yeah, the Friday the thirteen), Loy suddenly messaged me and asked if I can join dinner with other IA interns. Of course I can! The reunion has been a good one =D Sad that imam can’t make it :( Loy has his own company, Zhang Fan is the chief marketing officer on his company, Liao liang has been the youngest employee in Apple. Everyone has changed so much, but our days at IA still feel like yesterday. The day we akwardly introduced ourselves, the day we happily had buffet lunch, the day we were so anxious with lucky draw prizes, the day we slacked and went for 2 hours lunch… It feels so nostalgic =)

With 3 young executives~

On Saturday, I went out for a walk at orchard and Vivocity, continued with a super fulfilling dinner at Tech Wyne, celebrating Valentine’s day and Endy Lo’s b’day at the same time =D

Happy Birthday Endy Lo~~~

On Sunday, I woke up at 1, went for lunch, and received a very good news from one of my flatmates. It keeps me occupied for the whole Sunday. Hahaha… Shall I revealed it or should I keep it as a secret? :p Congratz dear. I’m very happy for you. I’m waiting for the treat to come. Hahaha....

10 PM now… and I still haven’t fill in my PR form T_T Have been neglecting it for one month. Oh... Looking forward for the next weekend to come =D

Till then…

After holiday is over...

On my first day after holiday, I reached office at 8 and went back at 9++, skipping my lunch unwillingly. A lot of reasons why, mostly maybe I was too fresh and the work queue list was too long. I took a taxi home, but alas, the taxi driver didn’t feel like giving me a break. Despite of the “ha” “hu” “he” respond that I gave, he talked until I reached home. My face clearly showed that I’m sleeppyyy… Maybe he was scared that I will sleep and can’t leave his car. Haha..

Talking about sleep, I’m moving to sleep deprivation again. I can’t even keep my promise to have at least 4 hours sleep everyday :( I know it’s very wrong. Lack of sleep half-ed my speed at work, which lead to my guilty feeling, lead to overtime, and lead to another round lack of sleep. It was exactly the same with my first year of university life. I will need to gather the courage and break the vicious cycle again this time.

Anyway, the other days of work weren’t that bad. I have proper lunch and dinner, and even a lo hei on Friday =D That was my first Lo Hei this year, and most probably the last, as the new year is ending soon.

Lo Lo Lo Hei~~

On Saturday, I went to visit my relative at Bedok and get another ang pao. Feel abit unprepared as my intention wasn’t for cny occasion at the first place. I didn’t even bring oranges T_T in the end, she was the one giving me oranges. Haa.. hope to be more ready next year. Btw, I forgot how to go to her place with bus, hence she taught it to me again yesterday. From the bedok mrt, go down, turn left to the less crowded bus stop and take some bus… which I forgot which now T_T but I will have to stop at Marina Parade and then walk to the side door entry to Bayshore Park. Wew, it took me like forever to remember a route :(

A poster I saw while waiting at Bedok bus stop. The organizer is NTU’s students! Then I feel the need to show support. Please visit them here

After the visit, I went to Bugis. Helios was getting a PC and che2 was getting a laptop. Son and I were their dedicated logistic. Hahaha… Sim Lim looked much less crowded yesterday. Is recession showing its effect?

I reached home at almost 10, and super tired that I sleep on 12 (on weekend!) and wake up at around 11. Have just finished doing my daily stuff… and now is the end of weekend already? Nooo T_T

Weekend, please come again faster. Please skip Friday the 13th if possible.

Hellos, Singapore

I was back to Singapore on first February. Never thought that I will take another good 7 days to update my blog. T_T Holiday has been good, and post-holiday has been miserable as expected. Well, at least I’m prepared.

The holiday was my first CNY spent at home since I came to Singapore. Who say that working life is less flexible than Uni’s? :p hahaha… it’s good by it’s own way.

While I intended to meet up with my old friends on my holidays, I never expected that there were so many were back for the CNY. It is such a good surprise. Must thank my dear cousin for all the invitations. I can’t remember when was the last time I saw most of them. Mostly were my classmates during my primary school. Some are in my memory so vividly that I can only remember their characters, but not their name anymore. All seems to have gained both weight and height since primary school (I know it is a sure thing, but I just can’t help to feel awkward) Despite all the changes that we have gone through, recalling all the memories and getting updates of their current journey are just… happiness. Hahaha.. My 10 days stay without internet has been enjoyable because of them =D

Tanjung Balai Community, yaayy~

But of course, family gathering is still my main purpose of going back, second only to red packets. (huuupppss :x) hahahaaa… I did still receive red packets from all my aunties and uncles. Thanks so much to remember that I’m still single =D hahaha.. a lot of my cousins are just married or getting married soon… am expecting to receive more in year to come :p

Harvest time :p

Anyways, this time around, I have two home made steamboat at home, one during the CNY eve, another one is during the second day. I had a sumptuous dinner for both days… suddenly I miss my mum’s cooking so much.

The only picture taken as everyone was more interested with the food

Other than that… Thanks to my sister, I get the chance to visit Pantai Cermin for the very first time. The place was good, the beach was clearer than what I expected (maybe it’s a good practice to keep your expectation low :p).

@ Pantai Cermin

Everything was perfect… until I lost my camera’s shutter button and can’t take pics anymore T_T it’s like taking away half of my presence at the place. Haha.. I survived with my phone camera for several days, before going to Sony Center and spent a freaking $90 for a shutter button T_T my sis literally screamed with my decision to get it fixed despite of the price… but I really can’t see other means. My heart just can’t let it go wasted. In total, I have invested: $440 for its original price, $150 for the replacement of LCD crack, and another $90 for the shutter button. Arrgh, I should have get Lumix LX3 with that price. T_T

Still, I enjoyed every single moment home. I got the chance to read my favorite’s Conan too =D

Aoyoma gosho… how long you want your story to be?

Thanks for the wonderful Holiday,
ED
