Even though we used the word "Gathering", all of us know what the dinner is about. I learnt that avoiding the word "Farewell" didn't make the good-bye any easier, so I decided to use the word anyway for this blog.
On the day after New Year, we agreed to gather for dinner at 5.00pm at Mushroom Pot. As expected based on 7 years of experience, almost none of us is on time XD. I reached at 5.20pm and was among the first 5. We waited for another half hour, and then started to look at the menu.
It was my first time there and the menu was oh-so-complicated. We started looking at the buffet menu. Since some of us are health conscious and don't want to have buffet, we asked for ala-carte menu. While browsing for the menu, we asked if they have any set menu, then they gave us the group set menu (like those wedding menu). Lastly, we asked for individual menu and they finally gave us a menu that we're familiar to order from. Phew!

I ordered some mushroom soup with pork ribs, which cost around SGD19++. The food was OK, but I don't feel that it worth the price. Well, at least the ambiance was good. We were given a quiet corner and we could chat until late while accompanied with slow pop music. The waiter was good and attentive as well. It's not easy to handle a group of 20 people, OK!

We stayed there until around 8.30pm, then proceed for second round at Starbucks. We chatted and played some game until around 10.00pm before calling it a day.

It was all laughter and fun during the dinner & coffee time. Yet, I turned so sentimental during the good-bye itself. People come and go... I just really, really hope that we'll get the chance to meet again.
All the best, Bol. Will miss you, badly.
