Office has become very quiet these days. My usual lunch partners have either left for new office or off for holidays. Thanks that I got an intern who can’t escape whenever I requested for lunch :p hahaha..
Anyway, this week has been more decent than last week. The team size is back to normal, and month end means less forum & calls. Yet, I don’t really understand why I was still leaving only at around 10pm :(
On Monday, I went to Alexandra Hospital to check on my red eyes. I kind of hoping that there is no issue with my eyes, but at the same time hoping that I didn't come here for nothing (meaning I want the check up to detect something wrong, contradictive!) In the end, the young medical officer told me that I have spent my $75 bucks for nothing.
He described the exact same things from what I found searching Google. He said that the eyes issues, no matter how red it is, as long as there is no 1) Pain or 2) blur of vision, you don’t have to look for doctor. He said that my bloody red eye is just as common as a bruise in leg. Anyway, he seems to pity me, and then gave me 2 days of Medical Leave... which I didn’t use in the end.
I did my weekly exercise on Tuesday, went for a meeting with our sponsors on Wednesday (where we received so much bad news & alert on the project, but that’s not within my power to act upon), and on Thursday I was told to went to Manila for kick-off workshop.
Friday, I confirmed my air ticket & accommodation for Manila, but I still didn’t know what I supposed to do there. After several failed attempts to get any news, I decided to go for a date at 8pm and worry about the workshop later. We went to Kim Gary @ Vivo, have a nice dinner, went home, and watched “The Ghost Writer”, which turn out to be very engaging. Pierce Brosnan was the only actor I knew there, but he turned to be playing a very small role there (and get killed before anything is solved some more).
Saturday, I took my time to sleep until almost 1pm, and then went to Chinatown for lunch and exchanging some Peso. I was undecided if I need to exchange at first, as I’m quite certain that I will pretty much travel only between office & hotel. In the end, I decided to change for SGD200 (Wait till I find some great shopping mall and regret to this amount) The rest of Saturday was filled with work until 9pm, dinner, and Toy Story 3.
Sunday, I didn’t do much except for ironing, last minutes packing, and now typing this blog before leaving for airport. I’m still feeling unprepared with all these, but let see what the next-week me will say.
Makati City, here I come!
