Lantern Festival 2012 @ Chinese Garden

Thanks to Inche - I got to go to Latern Festival with half the price :p

Ticket to the Latern Festival!
We reached there at around 7pm. The place was blasted with traditional Chinese songs, which suit the mood of mid autumn festival. The place was quite crowded and my camera wasn't very good with night shot, but we managed to get some nice shots still!

Greeted with a wall of moving dragons! It's dragon year after all!
Claimed and did our own latern :) My first ever lantern! Super pretty.
Group pics with latern :D
With Che infront of what seems to depict heaven
The Oily Face XD
The other entrance gate which was decorated lovely!
This year, the focus was more on children’s tale. Almost every latern prop is a story by itself! And I know most of the stories! Guess the stories I read during childhood was of international standard then :p

Story about "Ginseng Baby"
"The Little Match Girl"
"The Smart Guy who saved his friend from drowning by breaking the pot ^^;"
"The three pigs and a wolf"
"The magic drawing pencil and greedy king"
"The Run Race between Rabbit and Turtle"
"The Princess and Frog Prince"
This prop was right in the middle of the lake to represent the Swan Lake. No Story I guess.
The weather was great and it was a nice stroll from one end to another. We ended at 9pm with a firework performance. I have never see a firework as close as that before! Too close actually. Some of the dust actually fell to us and we started to back off a bit ^^;

Ended with a nice fireworks!
It was a really nice hang out with Che and family... I really hope I didn't become too much of stranger :p And Singapore, yeah, it's like it came out with new exhibition every other day. What's next?

Had fun with lanterns,
