It's UP!

It’s done.. it’s done.. the website is eventually done =D.. complete with the registration and request page ^^ That was the most tedious part. Lucky that NTU server was back to normal yesterday night.. hahaha..

Yesterday, I was having dinner at Hall 4 with jess, rin, and winson. (thanks for the invitation!) After dinner, we’re playing UNO until late midnight.. It was really not fair that they bullied me when I was having my trial play >.<.. in the end, they draw a big sun on my forehead as a punishment T__T.. that is my first time being drawn. Lucky that my face was oily enough.. thus can be cleaned easily with 3 rubs. Jess never lose.. so does winson and rina.. Rina was playing really2 great. After me being the victim, they switched their target to rina. 5 people work together vs Rina. But at the end, Rina won!! Wow.. you’re really great.. proud to have a friend like you.. huahahaa..

Today, I slept until 9++.. Washed my cloth.. then continue the website until now. Didn’t call home as yesterday mum and dad already did. Mum just recovered from flu.. dooh.. take care, mum.. you always ask me to drink emulsion.. why u urself never did? Hahaha.. She said she ate too much new year snacks le.. Ic.. The rest of my morning was spent doing the website.. now is already 2 pm.. Inche was going out with friends.. while some others went to Bugis to accompany Henny. Her computer explode again yesterday >.<.. I myself would like to have some fun before my IA again next day.. new project coming soon. Hahaha.. Alfon.. why don’t you take more days for leave.. XD

Can’t believe that week 7 passed now. It’s really a week of happiness ^^ While most of my friends start working on Wednesday, I continued slacking until Friday. Hahaha.. In those 2 days, I was intensively doing the new Red Cross website =D Take a look here. Haha.. Thanks to Medy for the template.. and thanks Calvin for the registration page. And thanks for everyone who goes to the website. Hahaha..

I went to work again lazily on Friday. There was a lot of works to be done. I had planned to do OT. Surprisingly, I could finish them on time.. Finished the testing exactly 1 minute before 5pm.. but then.. suddenly didn’t feel like leaving, thus wrote logbook first for 1 hour before sending update email to supervisor and leave at 6++ XD..

Back to hall, I was thinking of continuing the Red Cross First Aid request page. Too bad that the server was down.. (it hasn’t been fixed yet until now) while I needed to update to database.. thus I’m still waiting to do the update.. gosh.. the calendar part was really hard >.<.. wish that it can actually get working. I has been trying to set up my own server in my computer.. but well.. 2 hours of trying and I haven’t managed to figure it out. Better to use my time to write some blog :p

Today I was going to CNY celebration at RCHD.. I just realized that it was only my second time there.. (first time is for Christmas celebration ^^;) The event was nice.. good job on Rina and Winson :D

Post Valentine and Pre CNY

Last week.. last week.. what had happened last week? Gosh, I really need to blog more.. I can only remember what happened 2 days ago >.<.. Monday.. ar.. can’t remember.. Tuesday.. can’t really remember too.. But based from the Today’s newspaper collection, I don’t have the Monday and Tuesday edition.. must be late, huh? Eee.. but not really.. I remember spending half hour to open my computer on Monday.. I never shutdown it before, but due to plant shutdown last weekend, my computer was closed. So? Can’t believe that I stared at blank computer for more than half hour, bend up and down trying to figure out how to open Mac. Opening computer can’t be that difficult what!? Eventually, I ask for Loy help.. but he said he didn’t have any idea too.. He got a suggestion though, to check if the power supply is actually there. Good idea, but I don’t have handphone charger.. so can’t check either.. In all the confusion, I sms imam and the Mac Guru, Liao Liang.. Imam will reach soon, while liao liang will only reach by 9.. When imam reached, suddenly the computer on. And so did the rest of computer in the office. Aaa. So it was really power supply problem =.=

Open my email, got email from Alfon.. (Apple account, from who else can it be) Then suddenly remember why I want to reach early: to fix the bug in the Promotion Metrics. I was so scared that Alfon will find it out if he was at office on weekend.. I will surely get scold, because that was a major error in formula: forget to divide the number by 28. Lucky that the email I received was an encouragement one instead :p An great email to start the Monday.. haha.. Listening to the song “North - It’s Monday again” while fixing the code and updated Alfon regarding the status. It’s quite a nice day. For lunch, Loy’s supervisor (Boon We, if I’m not wrong) drove Alfon, Loy, and me to somewhere else to eat. He talked a lot.. about business and life.. Quite an inspiring talk. He also encouraged Alfon to get married soon, so that he can retire earlier as the child grew up early. Haha.. Then Alfon said ‘may be’ in 2 years time. Haha.. Alfon, why don’t make it in these 2 months.. so I can still join the party :p or even better, make it in this 2 weeks, so I can get angpao.. haha.. But of course I didn’t utter it out in front of him ^^;

Tuesday, my supervisor came and gave me new works. He did notice that the place become so spacious after the Poly IA student leave. And for the second time, he teased me “Sure you don’t want me to move down here?” haha.. then I really can’t slack.. no sir.. thanks :p He also asked if I wanted to extend my IA.. and me, as usual, without let it cross my brain first, I answer ‘can can..’.. and then remember about my dearest ureca.. T__T.. eventually revoke my words and said that I need to see how it goes first. He even had told his boss about it.. so sorry to trouble you.. >.<

Wednesday was Valentine. At night, we ate together at Subway. We refer to: Endy Lo, Boly, Jess, Winson, Tomy, Fendi, Tatsu, Adi, Inche, Handarmin, and Rina.. That’s the first time I ate there.. Now I understand why it’s called ‘healthy junk food’ by Jess.. It’s really full of veggie! I saw that the servant put 2 big meats and 4 slides cheese inside the bread, but when I ate them, I really can taste nothing but veggie ^^; the lettuce was a lot. And of course, I ate 1 feet XD feel quite full, but love it a lot ^^.. (What food I didn’t like, anyway..) After the dinner, we continued with endy’s b’day.. Her b’day was actually on 15th February, but since she went back tomorrow.. and today is valentine.. we celebrated it that day =D happy V’day + B’day, Endy! Hahaha.. Remember to bring angpao for us when you back from Medan :p

Thursday in office, my project was related to graph..I’m to plot out graphs using a chart library.. quite confusing.. and some more, the graph plotted isn’t usual graph.. need to combine 2 scale values.. which at the end, make me define my own functions and formula.. it’s really really.. stressful. The algorithm defined is never really perfect L I work until quite late.. around 7. What can I do, the supervisor top up my job at 4.50 >.<

Friday, was really a slacking day. A lot of people came, said ‘Happy Chinese New Year’!, grabbed angpao, then went home. >.<.. On that day, I just know that the angpao only for full timer.. so sadd… we’re not included.. and also excepted from lucky draw… we’re really the lowest form of employee.. hix.. lucky that we, IA student, have our own way to enjoy ourselves… Today, we went to Ang Mo Kio center to eat. Ate at sumo-house.. their motto was: the cheapest Japanese restaurant in sg. And it was quite true.. the set meal was only $2.9! (alrite, after GST was $3.15..) But it’s already with fruits, soup, and free flow of green tea! With aircon and great service.. very satisfied.. haha..

We reach office again at 1.30.. the slackest me ever :p.. Henny and Henry sms me.. that they got half day off. So did Calvin. Not long after I reached my cubicle, Imam came and said that his supervisor had allowed me to go back.. so did Zhang Fan.. and so did Loy (his supervisor even gave him angpao!) And liao liang was already missing.. And so.. It’s only me who stay until 5.30 at office that day.. ^^; But I can’t really concentrated as well.. even chatted for a while.. haha.. bad me? Or more exact is, poor me? The only one stay until ‘so late’…

At night, 8 of us: henny, Christian, winson, rina, medy, me, julianto, henry (in table sitting order) ate together at marina center: Carl’s Junior. This is my 3rd junk food in a week! Hahaha.. I was ordering Super Star.. 2 layer of meats and cheese.. and free flow of drink.. absolutely full. Haha.. we played 3 words story for awhile.. and don’t know why I’m being bullied >.<.. Let’s see if I still can remember the whole story created: Once upon a time I saw Henny, Christian, Winson practicing Bahasa Indonesia with Medy and another guy named Carl’s junior at NTU where I study computer engineering at north spine. Erlin Diana came and asked them: do you watch Banci show at Thailand? But they said they don’t like it. Erlin Diana’s boyfriend suddenly came and performed the show in front of them. End of Story T__T With me being bullied. Haha.. later, we took photos for awhile before going back to NTU =)

Alrite.. so.. Today is 30 Meh.. the sorrowful story at office ended. We have holiday until Thursday.. and to make the festive season even merrier, my supervisor was on leave for Friday :D going out soon with friends.. wait for the update, k :p

Week of Events

A lot of things happened this week. First day of second month, I woke up at 6.20. I really could hardly believed it.. I even rubbed my alarm display to make sure that it’s not illusion. Once it’s confirmed, I jump up and rush to bath. But no matter what, 30 minutes late in the morning means a lot. To make thing worse, as I run down to bus stop, 1 bus just left! !@#$%^& T__T.. And then the traffic jam.. sigh.. in the end, I reached office by 8.30.. but seems like no one realized it beside the guard outside =P..

On second day, I set alarm to 5.30.. so, this time… I got the first bus.. sigh ^^;.. Reached the Yio Cu Kang before 7.30.. even waited free newspaper for around 4 minutes. Hahaha.. then.. walked slowly to office.. and reached there (of course) before 8. Eventually slacked for a while before start finalizing my project.. Today, one of my project is being used by the payment team. Reading their comments really makes me fly to the moon ^^; I’m glad that they appreciated it. Thanks for brighten up my day for that day, Alfon, Kimhui, GV, and Hiromi Chan.. haha..

On third day, I get third bus. ~.~ What happened.. 1 month passed and I became to be so unorganized ^^; Today, as I was doing the 2 project given to me, Alfon came with 3 more project for me. I was quite shock.. thus asking which one to be prioritized… and he asked me to prioritized 4 of them.. since it was quite urgent. Heem.. ok.. don’t know how ‘urgent’ it was, I planned to finish all of them this week.. end up I took OT for several times >.<.. very tired.. I really back to hostel only to sleep. Wish that the urgent situation didn’t keep happening.. It might due to the CNY promo last Friday.. thus Apple Store is quite busy.. oh well.. whatever.. I’m glad that I managed to finish the thing.. haha.. Nothing much on Thursday.. catching up with deadlines… to make my deadlines even more 'dead', my file freezed while i'm about to finish! And then? need to redo everything... because I didn't save anything... sigh... When will I change.. when..

Friday was the last day for Poly intern. Can’t believe that I felt quite sad to that they were leaving.. This one month, they have made the office felt like school: inviting me to join b’day celebration, talk, free food, and others.. thanks to all of you.. especially Kai Li and Elaine.. who had been such a nice neighbor.. :p all the best for your future endeavor.. and take care always =)

That day, I took OT again.. partly because feeling guilty of wasting my morning time for settling ureca poster. Hahaha.. but not bad, I leave at 7.30.. reached boonlay at 8.30.. and decided to pamper myself with KFC.. hahaha… it’s as nice as usual.. simply excellent ^^.. After dinner, I really charged up.. then went to fair price to buy some fruits.. and went to popular to buy cards for parent & sister. Wish that it’s not too late to start sending tomorrow… reached home at almost 11.. chat for awhile and have a cozy slept ^^

Saturday, Tomy went back to Medan... Congratulations for your bro’s married =D And.. it’s time for Chia Se project presentation. No, no.. I’m not the presenter.. just the supporter :p.. The presentation started at 11 at HQ.. and finished at 1++.. It was really a great presentation.. they must had been working really really hard in the preparation ^^;.. We went out from HQ only at 4.. then suddenly got a call from Handarmin, saying that Nova is here at Singapore! And ask if I wanted to meet her.. ha.. of course! But.. it was at 8pm.. sigh.. I was in between the choice of going back or slacking around at Suntec until 8.. second choice was chosen.. but before going there, Calvin, Rina, Winson and I went to China town for fish head noodle... also tried the famous cheese sausage.. Haha.. it was delicious. Thanks to Calvin as the tour guide :p.. Later, Calvin and Rina went back to NTU.. Winson and me continue traveling around at suntec.. until around 7++, Endy lo and Fendi came.. then.. at 8++, Jess and Handarmin came.. then.. only at 9++, we meet the star of the day.. hahaha… Welcome to Singapore, Nova! (Although only for transit :p) We ate and chit chat at Mc Donald.. until almost 11.. before going back to NTU.. We manage to take the last bus.. and reach almost 12.30.. it’s a great Saturday indeed =)

Sunday.. time for rest.. call home at chat quite long with Mum.. suddenly miss them a lot >.<.. haha.. also did cleaning on fan and window for CNY. Hahaha.. then, have a lunch with big family at can 16.. then relax for awhile.. then start redcrossing.. and now.. is time for dinner again ^^;

NTU Tutor is out

An*** Datta.. (need to hide his name for my own future) I never heard about him. As I goggling his name, I found his personal website. There I found out that he is new to NTU.. just came from a poly from India.. heem.. ok.. There are 2 possible personality of being new. One is that he doesn’t know the NTU standard, thus don’t give many troubles and give high mark. Second is that he doesn’t about NTU standard, thus wanted to follow every rules precisely, and not dare to give high mark for precautions. My tutor seems to fit the latter.

As I got email from IA committee, I email my supervisor I sent him the softcopy of DPA form as stated from the email. The next day, he replied and said he wanted the original one. And he alerted me to read the guidelines in logbook and keep the entries with dates. I was really lost hope ever since. T__T.. Wish that I will survive though.. And wont eventually tempt to play with him. (although I felt I already started it.. “Sure sir, you want original copy? How to pass to you? You’re at school on Saturday and Sunday, or you want me to take leave?)… I kinda amazed with my own stupid braveness..

Enough about the NTU tutor.. This week my project 4 is roughly done. I already started it since last week, and only managed to finish with OT until 9+ yesterday. Haha.. But in the middle of the project, I managed to settle the AppleScript problem and clear my project2. Yeah! ^^ Thanks a lot for the assistance, Alfon =) After that, I also have another chance to train my AppleScript by creating 4 phases for iPod automation.. AppleScript is quite nice, really. But not many people are using it, causing trouble when I was goggling for any help.. especially when it’s talking with SAPGUI. No example found yet until now. Sigh..

Why, I don’t have many thing to say this week.. (or because I’m actually sleepy now?) hahaha.. On Tuesday, we got Redcross Meeting @ TR. Mainly was discussing about Blood Challenge. It’s the time for blood donation again =D.. haha.. this time, again, we’re going to publicize through every possible channel: banner, flyer, mass mail, tribune, video, edventure, even boonlay mrt. Our target is 1000 donors this time. Will really be an achievement if we can break it ^^ After a short meeting, we move to can A and have supper together before going back =D

Friday is the first time I took overtime until so late.. it was 9 man.. But I really didn’t feel good to keep this ‘delayed’ work until next Monday. Haha.. The company aircon was closed automatically at 7pm… Alfons leave at 7++ (“really, you can finish it on Monday.. sigh.. feel like abuse you” lol) At around 7.30, the whole office was almost empty. I was somehow scared that time. Around 8pm, I began to feel uneasy.. in the sense that I can’t work calmly and my brain started to lose focus (not too sure if it was due to hungry stomach :p) I put off my earphone and opened speaker instead. But the speaker was so soft.. so I tried to find the volume control.. clicking one button on the keyboard and alas, it was set to max volume!! Felt that I can feel my heart jump out that time. Come to worst, I don’t know how to lower the volume.. I was really really panic... and eventually ended up I connect my earphone to the computer again, and troubleshot how to lower the volume.. took 5 minutes to figure it out. Mac, oh Mac. Later, I continue with my project.. and got evil mind to print at company printer. Hahaha.. but too bad it was out of paper.. sigh T__T..

I reached NTU around 10.30.. directly went to Can A to support Vera for prez of GTD9 nomination. The voting hasn’t started yet, but the registration is closed L.. so sad. Eventually I stayed there to chit chat with friends. Thanks to Calvin for his help in transferring the iPod money to Alfon.. (yes, Jess and Handarmin bought new iPod with 15% discount from supervisor ^^) and thanks so much Jess & Medy.. the spaghetti was really really excellent ^^.. hahaha.. After dinner, the voting was about to begin. I waited for the voting.. then went back to hall together with all of them. Friday night, tired, but didn’t want to just sleep.. thus eventually do browsing until 1++ before slept until 9.30 for the next day ^^;

Saturday, I didn’t do much. Enjoying weekend without lab, tutorial and assignment was really different ^^ but I can not get out from logbook, Datta, and ureca. Dooh.. ^^;.. hahaha.. The good thing is that 1 month already passed.. and 18 weeks to go. Yeah! Hahaa.. Did some designing for Redcross too.. but not really satisfied with the result >.<.. now is 11pm.. maybe watch deathnote 16 first before going to sleep.. fufufu..
