4th week is here.. just realized that I haven’t talked much about the subject I enrolled to this semester.. Since it has been common practice for me to do so… here it goes ^^
CSC401: Advance Algorithm
Is the subject I took without doubt. The 9.30pm lecture was not even bother me. Not because I really like this subject.. but because it was proven to be very useful, no matter what field you are specializing in. And the code ‘401’ somehow suggested that this subject is ‘top in the list’ :P So, Huang Shell Ying, please bear with me. No more hard quiz next week, please T__T
CSC409: Neural Networks
Is the module I added after dropping my Parallel Processing and swapping my Prof Comms tutorial. Reasons why it worths all the trouble? Well, the prof is handso.. Eem. Let me rephrase. The professor is friendlier than the one in Parallel Processing. More, I want to learn Mathlab more than C. I’m glad that I eventually taking this subject (although it’s chapter 4 now and I still don’t understand what a neuron is). Anyway, looking forward for more funny videos, Prof! :p
CSC422: Cryptography and Network Security
While some of the subjects I decided based from the lecturer (read: neural and parallel), I selected this one purely because I wanted to learn it. Cryptography is to defense hacking. I love hacking (since it sound very cool) and because this subject is the closest related to hacking, I took it. CPE students, who already knew about the lecturer, were very doubtful to take this subject. However, it turned out that the lecturer had repented. He is now far better than the average lecturers in SCE. Happy to take this subject. And happy to meet chrstian, winson, and helios again. It had been almost 2 years since all of us be in a same LT.
HW310: Professional Communications
This subject is compulsory. Thus, not much cost-benefit analysis for this subject. The tutorial group is also so so packed that we can’t choose who we want to be taught by. Anyway, I got Susan Khoo, which turned out to be very energic and friendly young tutor. I love her. Thanks Kok Heng to help me find someone to swap my tutorial group. I meet Erikson, Devit, and Sharon in this tutorial. Glad that I’m not the only one need to wake up at 7.30 for it :p
Final Year Project
Erm. This one is 70% chosen based from supervisor (sigh) The supervisor is indeed very nice. But I didn’t think I did any useful work yet :( help help..
In conclusion, all my prescribe subjects dealing lots with Maths. Poor rusty brain will need to train a lot T_T

A word about Red Cross...
My AGM passed. I eventually stepped down.. New communications had been chosen too (Congratz, Theresia and Thang!) Suddenly, the one year felt so short.. so many things had passed.. I didn’t do any speech for AGM.. first because it’s not necessary in Red Cross, second because I was having my very first Algo Quiz during the AGM time. T__T
Looking back, I’ll say that I really have given my best to Red Cross (my apology if it didn’t turn out to be so) In return, they had given back the best to me too. It might be a smaller club in compare to school club, but I was really impressed with the true effort everyone’s putting inside. From Red Cross, I met a lot of people with true volunteerism heart. (not like me who entered because of friends :p). One of them is our advisor, Miss Chan. My volunteerism spirit is somehow grown because of her. I learnt lots from fellow maincommers too. It opened my eyes to a wider world.

I must say that the workload here was more than any other club I had ever entered in my 3 years in NTU. We did design (publicity), website (webmaster), booklet (publication), video (IT), logistic, fund raising (a.k.a business manager :p), etc etc. However, strangely, I didn’t feel this as ‘unfair’ compared with when I was in other club. You bet why.. One is because I can feel the sense of belonging here. Everyone is treated as friend, as one big family apart from the portfolio status we’re holding. Who want to disappoint a family member? (well.. unless really unavoidable.. ) Another is because everything was doing that amount of work.. If I should say, even greater work than what I did! My partner might be one of the example.. someone who always offered to do everything. Although he complained quite a lot, he did them too at the end :p My president is another type of person. He gave a lot of publicities ideas (which sometimes sound so crazy) but he helped lots in the process too. In the end, he gave all the credits to me.. And then… whenever the design is printed out.. I will be very happy and forget all the tiring process in the designing. Haha.. This year, I was experiencing the whole new range of publicity stuff. Putting video @ ChannelNTU, e-banner @ edveNTUre, article @ tribune, printing pin, booklet, stickers, and more… Thanks so much for all the precious experience!
Ok, before it coming too long winded, let me end it here. This will be my last ECA in NTU… I’m glad that it was eventually a meaningful one =) I would like to wish the new committee the best year ahead.. All the best!!

Impressive Dream (2)
Today I got another box-office dream like what I have 2 years ago. this time around, it is around friendship and weird world ^^;
Story started with my home as the setting. I was on holiday and having gathering with old friends… During the chit-chat, I asked where is P and why she didn’t join us.. P is one of my best friend… Then I got the shocking news that she died several weeks ago.. She went to sea shore and being murdered by M, which is well-known as mysterious person well known as witch. I was shocked as I remember still having email from P several days ago, even chatting with her! I was then showing the mail to my friends as proof. We’re puzzled.. then decided to reply her email.. and few hours later, I got reply from her!! (now getting scarier? :p) She was telling the stories of how she being murdered.. and how she regretted going to sea shore. The situation turn melaconic and I almost cried out.. I was so angry with M, and decided to do conference with whole town telling the bad things about M. The whole people in town curse M. We all decided to kill her.. but she didn’t talk at all.. Just that her face look so miserable. At that time being, I suspect.. what if the witch has actually get into P body, and put P soul in her body instead and making her can’t talk at all.
(at that time, I wake up because my mobile rang. Shut it down, then continued my dream)
Then the story goes. But this time, I became third person.. I was like watching a movie. Let’s call the main actor B now. Although M is already died, her spirit was still with B. B talked about everything under the sun with her. B also talked about her crush with P. P always support B in everything.. however, sometimes, P went missing.. and B didn’t know where she was.. until B meet L, who was a B’s old enemy.. but then, she got information that shocked B. L was there when P is murdered by M. After the murder, P turned into angel. Yet, because she still had things she wanted to do here, She then killed a horse (?) to get the power she needed to keep staying in the world. L then found out that she got a lover that she can’t leave yet.. and out from expectation… her lover is the same with B crush.. B felt betrayed.. then also found out that everytime P went missing, she went to her lover’s place… So B…
Nah, the story ended here =.= My mobile rang again and I was shocked to know that it was about 12pm T__T So I decided to wake up.. see if the dream will continue tonight (which is unlikely to happen).. there are still a lot of mistery unveiled.. like who is M actually.. and what B is going to do with P.. etc etc~ hahaha.. anyway, it’s quite a nice dream.. the background, the setting and everything was really real ^^;

Days to first quiz... (and AGM)
As planned, I spent my Sunday doing resume… but didn’t manage to touch Matlab and fyp at all T_T.. On the evening, I attended a quick junior’s gathering @ our block lounge. I never expect that we, seniors, (boly, inche, helios, winson and me) were the one bullied by them. When we entered the room, they were all clapping hands.. and since there are no seat available, we stand there.. and they asked us to introduce ourselves.. sigh… youngster.. haiyaaa.. *suddenly feel so old* We were there around 30 minutes.. then went back to our respective halls.. they ended quite early too, around 10++… I felt guilty not doing fyp, but then.. sleepiness win. I slept at around 12.. ^^;
.. until 9.30am at the next morning. Monday.. my lecture timing are very weird.. start at 10.30, 1 hour lecture, 2 hours free, 1 hour lecture,…and continue until 7.30 T_T afterwards, moved for maincomm recruitment. Thanks calvin to help me covered my part.. the recruitment continued until 9.30.. we got 10 interviewees.. really nothing compared with others.. say, bddr, who got 22 interviewees.. The positive point is that we don’t need to spent lots of time judging who should go for rally. Haha.. we finished around 10.30.. then had macdonald for supper.. and reached back hall around 11.30.. tireed.. I went to sleep after applying for several recruitment talks.
Tuesday, NTU internet connection was down the whole day. I woke up at 9.30.. as I brushed my teeth, I came to wonder how am I going to wake up at 7.30 for the next day.. as I have communications lab at 8.30. After decided to slept early at night, I showered.. then have lunch.. then blur blur went to lecture.. why I said blur.. because I didn’t bring my water bottle.. Not even my pencil case! T__T Thanx Rizky and Henry to lend me pen.. For water, I need to walk in and out from lab every half hour. =.=… After dozing at lab until 5.45, I went for dinner with others.. Another chicken chop.. I didn’t know why.. seems like it become my favorite this semester. It was my 3th time eating it this week =.= After dinner, we went directly for the briefing for networking nights.. 50% of the participants are Indonesian.. (guess, what does it mean :p) the briefing went quite smooth… figured out that I didn’t have appropriate high heels shoes for the event.. T__T meaning I will need to go shopping.. sigh. Lazy lazy.. 1 month from now.. but I really don’t like to go buy that kind of stuff :S
After briefing, I went for the maincomm recruitment again.. today.. not so many people applying. Only 2 people were interviewed for communications.. after that, we consolidated the candidates at 9.. ended at 10.. then went to wish Peng Ho a happy b’day at N2 B5.. Afterwards.. went for CEC maincomm rally ^_^ at first, I was glad to hear that the rally isn’t finished yet. But then, knowing that it hasn’t even half yet, I was abit worried of how long will it get.. after a long long wait (together with winson, medy and calvin), the situation become hot when reaching the vp position.. a new comer being shot for many times. After the first vp, second was rudi.. situation was cooling down again.. and then.. when the rally for president eventually came.. I was really enthusiastic.. I “sssstt” everyone who tried to talk to me.. but then.. after 10 minutes.. I felt that the question become more and more out of the line.. There were several questions that I felt very irritating.. and blood-boiling. After 1 hours of Q&A.. I really can’t stand it anymore (part is sleepiness, part is madness) and I went back to hostel, failed to watch until the last candidate. I felt that the club is just too mean…
Reached hostel, I suddenly remember my initial plan to slept earlier today.. because I need to wake up early for 8.30 class.. in the end, I slept at 3am..
Happy B'day Peng Hoe~ Vote Penghoe for VP (VP for VP!)
Lucky, I was still able to wake up at 7.30. I showered, drank my cup of coffee, and went to school with Inche.. it was raining out there.. reached school, I grabbed some sandwich, then went to hunt for CSKL-4.. lucky I didn’t get lost too long :) I manage to get there on time.. beside CSKL-4 is CSKL-5.. I saw Ms Chan inside the lab 5.. she was dressing very formal.. looked very pretty.. ^^ now I really believed that dress code matters. Haha.. Anyway, we’re being taught by Susan. I like her a lot ^^ and I loved my teammates also ^^ after the lab session.. i need to decide between sleeping at hostel or at lab. Eventually decided to sleep at lab. So, here I goes.. Not long after I dozed… Prof Yeo suddenly came and greeted me!! Oh dear.. T__T I never expect that to happen.. but after half hour of discussion, I was somehow thankful that she was there.. (else I will sleep until lecture time) haha.. after the discussion, I went to neural’s lecture.. I was really to sleepy to absorb anything.. sigh.. back from lecture.. I went back to lab again, waiting for dinner time with nancy.. =D yup, nancy is eventually back to sg. Haha.. at 5.30, I leave lab, went to SRC to take my last heritage walk tshirt.. I must said that the tshirt is really very nice ^^.. Afterwards, waited 15 minutes for shuttle bus.. then went for dinner at can 16… I back around 7.30.. when I was going to shower, met my sibling at next door XD.. Although Inche had told me before about it, I was still quite shock.. she really looked like ilfina.. just a bit *censored*. Haha..
Ok.. so.. after showered.. I still felt sleepy (I wonder how many time the ‘sleepy’ word turn out in this post) I want to take a nap.. but I am sure I wont be able to wake up until morning.. I want to study.. but can’t concentrate.. so.. best way will be to blog :p haha.. now is already 10pm.. time to start packing and sleep.. yeah =D

Second week of school
I need to draw back what I said about a blog a day. This week, I was so tired and slept instantly every time I touch a pillow.
There are quite a lot of updates this week.. sadly, it’s nothing much on the FYP.. I can feel that Prof Yeo a bit disappointed upon my first update meeting on Friday. (and from now on, I need to update her every week! Oooh..) Anyway, I really have left my FYP for quite some time.. when I went back there on Thursday for demo preparation, I can’t even remember my username =.=.. Thanks lab executive for helping me out! Now they seemed to be friendlier =)
This week is 2nd week of school.. and also the Welcome Week of NTU. On Monday and Tuesday, I was running between library orientation and redcross booth. On Wednesday, helped Fendi a bit with his SMRT booth.. then grabbed some pizza from Geben. :p Met Rudi there offering new SCE jacket to me. It looks nice.. At least, it’s NTU standard. Wish that the sale is good. Wednesday was quite relaxing.. I work at library for my last day (yeah!) and got participate in one survey and get an IQ keychain.. I like it a lot ^^ at evening, I went to career talk… the talk was about how to manage career.. it was a great talk..
“…Being a student, you’re in a homogenous community.. where everyone surrounded you is student.. in relatively same age with you. Outside world there.. you need to get used to the different age group, different academic background… Boys, it's a whole different world”
Those words made me realize the big difference between student and working adult… It stunts me for 5 minutes.. then I decided to enjoy to the fullest my last year as a student.. (yes, last year.. I have no intention to take master or PhD in near future ^^;)
My Thursday was reserved for Red Cross welcome tea.. but sadly, I only managed to go there after my lecture at 7.30 :( I missed most of the speech.. lucky that I’m on time for the sharing session :) met lots of new faces there.. even Christine (the one who attending WWDC too) was there! After sharing session, refreshment, and dapaoing, I reach back home at almost 11.. Really don’t have time to wash my Red Cross tee.. simply hang it.. and on Friday tea reception with Prof Lok, I was wearing it again ^^; as prevention step, I used perfume that day. When I was walking to SAO, I met moja.. guess what happened.
“Cicaaak, u’re using perfume!”
“It’s from.. Body Shop!”
“White Musk!”
And then he walked away. Winson and I were totally stunted… =.=.. I then went for the tea reception.. I didn’t do much talking.. although my mouth did quite a lot of sport (read: eating) :p Prof Lok was great in talking.. we brought up some issue regarding HAS.. it finished only around 5pm.. right afterwards, we went to hall 3 badminton court and prepare for the subcomm appreciation night. And again, I’m so sad that I need to leave halfway for my lecture T_T For final year, Most of my activities are packed at night. 3 days of evening lectures. Why, SCE? But still, thanks to huang shell ying, she released us quite early =D never more than 9.05 for this 2 weeks. I run back to hall 3, and voila.. thx dear friends.. they save some food for me :’) very touched. However, after eating, we need to do presentation.. sigh =.= we sang “Heal The World”… everything turned out well.. and Calvin never failed to generate laugh near the end :p The appreciation finished at almost 11.. we went back.. tired, but happy =D I slept around 2 that day.

Saturday, I wake up only at almost 11 :p since it’s raining and I was lazy to go out, I grabbed two indomie for lunch. After great meal, chit chat for awhile, then felt sleepy.. tea isn’t working, so I had a cup of coffee as well. My sleepiness was gone.. but then.. I spent my Saturday chatting instead ^^; Xiao Yu's offer for the project is very tempting.. but then.. i didn't think i can squeeze time for that :( wish that he will find other suitable programmer soon =D
At night, I went to JP to have KFC.. it’s getting expensive now.. $7,40 for my “usual meal” T__T maybe that’s why the queue wasn’t that long anymore.. well, the meal is still as delicious as usual. They have stopped the Miso Crunch.. and came out with new product.. KFC surf and turf.. I was tempted to try.. but it wasn’t my portion.. so… maybe next time when I want to go on diet XD haha.. back from KFC, I discussed some stuff about maincomm recruitment.. type some blog.. and well, now is Sunday already.. better go to sleep early… tomorrow will need to write resume… learn math lab… and reply emails…

There are quite a lot of updates this week.. sadly, it’s nothing much on the FYP.. I can feel that Prof Yeo a bit disappointed upon my first update meeting on Friday. (and from now on, I need to update her every week! Oooh..) Anyway, I really have left my FYP for quite some time.. when I went back there on Thursday for demo preparation, I can’t even remember my username =.=.. Thanks lab executive for helping me out! Now they seemed to be friendlier =)
This week is 2nd week of school.. and also the Welcome Week of NTU. On Monday and Tuesday, I was running between library orientation and redcross booth. On Wednesday, helped Fendi a bit with his SMRT booth.. then grabbed some pizza from Geben. :p Met Rudi there offering new SCE jacket to me. It looks nice.. At least, it’s NTU standard. Wish that the sale is good. Wednesday was quite relaxing.. I work at library for my last day (yeah!) and got participate in one survey and get an IQ keychain.. I like it a lot ^^ at evening, I went to career talk… the talk was about how to manage career.. it was a great talk..
“…Being a student, you’re in a homogenous community.. where everyone surrounded you is student.. in relatively same age with you. Outside world there.. you need to get used to the different age group, different academic background… Boys, it's a whole different world”
Those words made me realize the big difference between student and working adult… It stunts me for 5 minutes.. then I decided to enjoy to the fullest my last year as a student.. (yes, last year.. I have no intention to take master or PhD in near future ^^;)
My Thursday was reserved for Red Cross welcome tea.. but sadly, I only managed to go there after my lecture at 7.30 :( I missed most of the speech.. lucky that I’m on time for the sharing session :) met lots of new faces there.. even Christine (the one who attending WWDC too) was there! After sharing session, refreshment, and dapaoing, I reach back home at almost 11.. Really don’t have time to wash my Red Cross tee.. simply hang it.. and on Friday tea reception with Prof Lok, I was wearing it again ^^; as prevention step, I used perfume that day. When I was walking to SAO, I met moja.. guess what happened.
“Cicaaak, u’re using perfume!”
“It’s from.. Body Shop!”
“White Musk!”
And then he walked away. Winson and I were totally stunted… =.=.. I then went for the tea reception.. I didn’t do much talking.. although my mouth did quite a lot of sport (read: eating) :p Prof Lok was great in talking.. we brought up some issue regarding HAS.. it finished only around 5pm.. right afterwards, we went to hall 3 badminton court and prepare for the subcomm appreciation night. And again, I’m so sad that I need to leave halfway for my lecture T_T For final year, Most of my activities are packed at night. 3 days of evening lectures. Why, SCE? But still, thanks to huang shell ying, she released us quite early =D never more than 9.05 for this 2 weeks. I run back to hall 3, and voila.. thx dear friends.. they save some food for me :’) very touched. However, after eating, we need to do presentation.. sigh =.= we sang “Heal The World”… everything turned out well.. and Calvin never failed to generate laugh near the end :p The appreciation finished at almost 11.. we went back.. tired, but happy =D I slept around 2 that day.

Saturday, I wake up only at almost 11 :p since it’s raining and I was lazy to go out, I grabbed two indomie for lunch. First week of school
Alarm rang at 7.30, slept until 8, breakfast until 8.30, went to lib for printing until 9.30 (sooo crooowded with defected printers), stayed at lab until 11.30, then have my first lecture for my Final Year: Neural Network. But yet, this is not the subject that I take. Out from lecture, went to work at lib until 2.30. Late (again) for my 2nd lecture: Advance Algorithm. A sure-must-take subject. There are lots of people taking this subject too. Afterwards, chatting for a while with friends, then went to have my lunch.. After lunch and sold my books, I got nothing to do.. eventually decided to attend computer networks lesson at LT2a. Quite a nice lesson, but I still felt like doze off.. as precaution, I eventually went to can A to buy a cup of tea. At 5.30, having our 2-hrs lecture of Cryptography. I had been told lots of time that the lecturer is super duper unfriendly.. yet, he didn’t give that impression during this first lesson. My friends, who had bad experience with him, were confused. Saying that this must because of the honeymoon a.k.a add drop period, so his devil horn isn’t out yet. Anyway, I went back to home at 7.30.. didn’t feel like doing anything, slept at around 12.30
Tuesday, wake up at 8, breakfast, and reached lab around lab. Both lab executives are on leave! So funny ^^; I stayed there until 11, went to CEO to take flyers, then went to library and start working. That day wasn’t much different: putting letter into envelope and helping them tiding up store room. Afterwards, have a quick lunch with henny, rin2 and handarmin @ can a. I ate from Moslem stall again.. (since the queue was shortest) afterwards, going for my first parallel lecture. Meet lotz of friends there. But then.. the lecture itself was boring! It’s because it’s only introduction? But anyway, the lecture gave me enough sign to drop the subject and take neural… but then.. If I’m to take neural.. I need to drop my prof comm.. in where I got the best tutor cum lecturer there: Aileen. In my trying to get my time table fixed, I went to meet Jessica. But sadly, that day I learnt that she isn’t a God that can fix my entire timetable problem. She need to do anything base on vacancy too. Anyway, since all the vacancies already full in SCE, she offered me 2 options. One is to take the prof comm from another school (bio eng, she said and I shocked) or to swap with my friend. I try to go with the second option. So, after the consultation, I went for index hunting.. It gave no result until around 10pm.. I was almost given up and started to think that parallel maybe not that bad.. However, not long after, Kok Heng suddenly sms me and said that one of his friend can swap with me. I was so happy =D But then, the index she had is taught by Susan.. (since prof comm got no exam, this factor is very very important) I asked but nobody know how susan like. After much consideration, I decided to take the chance. Praying that Susan is the reverse of Arlene.. or at least, far far away from Arlene’s… After settling all the popping up problems, I slept at 1..
Wednesday, went to lab, settled my program, send email to Prof Yeo.. chat for a while with yongky, then went to work at library. My main reason to go to school actually is actually for Crypto’s make up lecture.. but in the end, the prof cancelled it! Eventually, I only attend 1 neural network class. Afterwards, went to lib to print stuff.. the queue is still super long. Lucky that the cash printing is shorter :D I was there for 1 hour, then went to meeting with winson, gigi, zhiwen, rina and calvin. We finished at almost 6, then went to have chicken chop.. (which is soo nyummyyyy.. o^.^o) after feeling full, we chitchat for 1 hour, then attend another red cross meeting.
This meeting was mostly about preparation for welcome tea, recruitment fair, AGM, etc etc.. I can’t believe that the time is eventually here! Recruitment fair is on this Monday.. wow. That’s fast… At the end of this month.. I am not longer a communications officer! One year has almost passed and I am (still) surviving! Yeaah =D looking forward for a great end..
Back to hall, settled some of the new tasks, then watched My name is earl until season 2 episode 20.. and went to slept around 2.30..
Thursday, saying b’day to singapore~ I celebrated it by not touching fyp at all. Hohoho.. (actually, didn’t have time to touch it) I spent my Thursday settling redcross and planning what I should do for the next week.. then write some blog.. I felt like I really got alot of thing to write.. seems like I need to back to my habit of writing a blog per day. Hahaha..

Weekend Post
Quite enjoying my last weekend before school gets started =)
Friday night, I watched and slept around 2.. at around 1, Eva knocked my door and asked if I can help her – her computer suddenly off by itself. I took a look there, suspected that it was (again) power supply.. but since I’m not sure, I promise to ask helios and let her know again tomorrow.
Saturday, around 10.40, helios came and diagnosed it as power supply failure. Another case :S Eva decided to bring it to bugis on Sunday. After showering and washing my cloths, I went to lunch at can 16.. really wanted to try can 14 western.. but it wasn’t opened T_T back from lunch, I was enjoying myself.. watching, opening edventure (for the first time after 7 months), and trying to recall how I usually pass through my first day of school. The IA really made my brain rusty. After some time I took to recall, I remember that I haven’t printed a single file of lecture notes. And based from experiences, Monday will be a extremely long queue at library.. T_T sigh. Why I didn’t remember about it earlier T_T..
Finished recalling everything, I went to shower.. and went for lunch at 6.. almost all of us are back already to Singapore.. only left with ryoma and nancy (sob) at night, 18 of us helped Julianto to move from hall 3 to hall 9.. here, manpower quantity really played an important role. We finished the moving in 1 route! *applause for us..* afterwards, we went for supper.. and went back at almost 12.. I didn’t have intention to do any work, yet didn’t feel like sleeping.. so I eventually continue to play tktq.. and then watched another 2 episodes of My Name is Earl.. hope to finish it soon.. I slept only at 3.. (oh no, my bad habit is reappearing)

Sunday, woke up at 10 something. Before that, I was waken up at around 6 by a continuous knock in my door. First I ignored it, but since it continued, I eventually woke up and opened. Instead of standing infront of my door, I saw some shadows (I’m not putting on my contact lens yet :p) standing beside instead, knocking at eva’s door. Then I heard tatsu’s voice “Eh? Sorry, we’re not knocking at your door” Tatsu!? He was working so early in the morning!? Man.. really amazed by you.. But I was to sleepy that time to praise ^^; After answering “O”, I went back, locked my door, and slept until 10.30. When I went for shower, I met Eva, saying that her roommate came already.. and the nationality is IN! not ID!? How come?? Hope that Eva will be alright. But now.. where will Paulina sleep? She still need to wait for third round…. I really don’t like those first second and whatever round. If the rooms are really enough for all of us, why don’t just release it all in once?
After shower and dealt with my unusual contact lens experience today, I called home.. then went to lunch. Have usual chit chat until around 1, went back.. and continue slacking while waiting for dinner. We’re going to watch 28 Weeks after that.. see.. quite a nice weekend.. just if it will continue…

Last week of holiday
On Sunday night, the deep thought of balancing FYP and work caused me to stay awake until morning. I miss my peaceful soul T_T Early in the morning, I went to shower at around 7.30.. then went to canteen A, grabbed a sandwich, and headed to Lab at 8.30. Lucky that the lab is opened already. I stayed there for checking some system, requesting new software, and emailing Prof Yeo. Afterwards, I went to library.. (went to toilet before that) get ready for my first job at library…
“Excuse me, is Ms. It Land around?” First time around, I was really calling her “I-T-Land”… later I know that it’s pronounce as in ‘Elaine’ =__=… After saying hi, she brought me to Chaterine.. the one who almost made me cry during my last interview.. her first words were “Elaine, I want you to ask her to remove the panel.. it’s so messy and for what you bring her here for?” sigh.. Another heart break for me. She didn’t even say hi to me.. good that I didn’t need to deal a lot with her that day.. I simply did the panel.. and then folding flyer until the end of the day =D quite happy to get through the day easily.. but then felt quite guilty to my FYP (Again..)
At night, my father called to ask about my first day at work.. I told him honestly that I did simple-no-brain work with good pay.. but he didn’t seem to be very happy to hear that.. “Folding paper? That stuff, even mum can do! You wont get any experiences from that..” ix.. I know, dad.. but then.. what am I supposed to do?
On Tuesday, I spent my day with FYP. Planning to go lab at 8.30, but delayed until 9.00. When reached there, found that they haven’t helped me to install the software.. I asked again.. and they asked me to wait.. I asked when will I get it done.. she replied.. “Relax lar! You only gave the list to us, give us some time, I got a lot of thing to do now”

I was then doing the research part first.. no long after, she came and swept me away to install the software. It took so long that I decided to go out for a walk.. chit chat with helios and inche at neighbor’s lab :p when I back.. my computer screen is locked by them. Sianz. Then I tried to login in another computer. Failed, as I was only permitted to login in a specific computer. Oh Gosh! Come on! the computer isn’t a supercomputer, it’s just a 512mb with 15’’ screen. Why I may not login to other computer? It’s overly strict! How long will I be able to survive here? Just if I can hack the software.. T__T oh! and one more complain about the lab! It was 17 degrees.. freeze my brain and my head. They took the whole morning to install the software.. (and still got things unfix) So I was actually spending half day for FYP for nothing. :’( somemore when time showed 5.45, I was being told to go out.. :s it’s very weird.. why FYP students may not stay while PhD student are all still inside :s
Back from lab, I had dinner together with others.. then back to room.. really too tired to continue fyp.. thus just slacking around… after saying happy anniversary to bebek rewel, I went to sleep at around 12.30..
Wednesday, another day of working at lib.. to be specific, another day of folding paper.. :s I didn’t manage to finished the amount she wanted on time.. (crazy.. ask me to fold the 2000 flyer in one morning. Alone somemore) so we eventually bring all the flyers (fold and unfold) to Nanyang Audi.. there.. I was surprised.. almost 10 people working in a room.. all folding and tiding up flyers! Even Max and Raymond are there.. feeling so happy to get friends.. now I can work faster. Hahaha.. after finished up, we grabbed some food from nanyang audi (these time around, everyday got free food) and went back to lib..
Reached back library, chat for half hour before started working again.. It was already 4.30.. I was not really working, but being briefed for Friday.. and then.. tadaa.. 5pm and it’s time for me to go back home sweet home =D I reached hostel at 5.15.. felt so sleepy.. opened my inbox.. and didn’t find any reply from my supervisor.. which made my devil horn came out and slacked for the rest of the night.. XD
Thursday, another day for FYP… (Oh btw, I got my FYP and work for alternate day =D) Went to lab with helios.. inche went out to MC when I was still at bed T_T.. the lab was quite cozy this time. When I was slacking (listen to music and read blog) suddenly I heard a familiar sound behind me.. I turned and.. gosh! It was prof Yeo! T_T I quickly closed all my internet explorer.. and open up the visual studio.. ^^;.. The rest of the day was spent quite fine.. I got go to SCE freshman seminar for about half hour.. chatted with friends.. now I know how I really miss that time.. looking forward to school soon.. I must manage to take a picture of whole CSC-ians! This is my promise as a photographer. Hahaha.. As usual, we went for dinner at 6.. since we’re being swept out from lab at 5.45.
After dinner.. went back to hostel.. remembering that tomorrow I will need to work and the lab isn’t opened on Saturday and Sunday, I felt uneasy all in sudden.. this is what I have been worrying about.. when I need to choose between commitments.. :S Although I want to reduce my guiltiness by doing fyp at night, I can’t… all because the stupid software... and the lab executive didn’t allow me do to any remote access.. sigh. Helios suggested me to ask prof yeo instead about it.. yup.. I did.. but still she didn’t reply ^^; I spent the rest of my day replying friends email.
Friday @ Lib.. with no more flyer folding.. yeah.. but this time I need to deal with photoshop.. they want it in big resolution, so I eventually needed to deal with illustrator.. which really made me sweat in the aircon room. The boss coming in every hour… and.. guessed what.. I can’t handle it.. T_T so I eventually just let it be… I am using rasterize image instead of vector.. I hope that it wont be very obvious.. hopefully. The printing will be super big.. I am really scared waiting for the result.. hope that I wont be scold. I must said that the pervious person really did a great job.. really really professional. The more I admired them, the more I felt that I actually didn’t fit for this job.. oh my..
My design job was finished around 3. Afterwards, I helped with data entry (read: copy pasting thing). Strange, but I love this job more.. a no-brainer job is always so relaxing.. Leave us with no responsibility.. hahaha.. Anyway, I think my focus to work there was already too screwed… My first desire was to get a design job, such that I can kept practicing and learning new things.. seeing my attitude now, I think I should terminate my work soon.. hahaha…
At around 5.10, I was being ordered to go home. So strange how library differ so much from company… although I actually still want to finish it, I decided to go back. I had dinner at can 16 with the rest as usual.. Julianto shared his sad story of hall 9.. hope that he will find the best solution about it.. after a dinner + ice strawberry, I went back.. enjoying my Friday night.. I wondered how will I spent my weekend.. all my fyp and library stuff aren’t done, but they are all locked in their own computers.. I really can’t do anything although I want :( Prof Yeo hasn’t replied me yet.
Time to grab a snack and watch a movie before sleep,
