Hoookay! Another week has passed in 2011. I’m embarking the second part of Jan 2011… and I can see the busy days ahead… until end of Feb 2011 T_T My sister is coming next week, and I have hectic evening calls scheduled for the last 5 days of the month. I don’t think I will ever recover from my pimples (sigh) but life goes on!
I have been very addicted to iPhone’s game “Dinner Dash” recently. I’m now on the 6th level of Mystic Palace… and God knows how to pass the level ~.~ I need someone with very quick responses to pass it. Any voluntary? In addition, I’m still playing the COD, which is a pretty good game to spent half an hour on every weekend :p
Office has back to normal, with the return of my boss. I felt that he trusts me more these days - asking for my view on many different things. Oh well I’m glad for that, but it’s so tough to act smart when you really have no clue on what it is about T_T Lets see how to survive. Heh.
On Wednesday, I start to join the weekly run organized by my colleagues. They started running around 6.45 PM, going through one round at Labrador park, then reached back office around 7.45 PM. It was raining earlier of the day, and the weather was really, really nice. I run ambitiously for the first 10 minutes, then losing my breath on the 15th min, and start walking from there on =.=’ Not a good achievement, I know. But at least I get it started! :)
My boss was on urgent leave for Thurs and Friday… and I haven’t gotten his approval for the leave I intend to take for Chinese New Year… I hope there won’t be any sudden surprise.
My working days of the week ended at 10.30 PM on Friday, after the team weekly call. For the first time, it got shifted from Thurs to Friday. Well, I have to stop complaining about having the call on Thursday. The call gets worse when you’re actually in weekend mood.
Saturday, I became an ad-hoc tour guide for a fella who came from Germany. Alessa and I went to… many places! From Chinatown, we walked all the way to Outram Park. From Outram, we took the MRT To Orchard, then walk from there to Sommerset and then to Dhoby Ghaut. She was really excited because all the tourist spots are so near and convenient… where I feel bad as I realized how small Singapore is. After the last stop at Dhoby Ghaut (with Gong Cha bubble tea), we parted as she went to night safari and I went to Toa Payoh for a birthday party.
Good or bad, it’s the only picture of me with AlessaDespite meeting her for the first time, I had a really good time with her. She shared a lot of her experiences… she has been traveling around the world for 3 months now… She started with US, New Zealand, Australia… After Singapore, she is going to Tokyo, Phuket, Hongkong... etc. She studied medical and have good passion in photography, cooking, and even clothing. And guess what, she and I are almost the same age! *Gasp. The picture doesn’t do her justice. She looks much better in real life :) Bon Voyage, Alessa, and wish you a great wonderful journey ahead!
Back to Toa Payoh, I reached the Pizza Hut after got lost for almost 20 minutes =.=’ We celebrated Fidel’s b’day… She is my senior in NTU… and yes, she is younger from most of us. We finished the dinner at around 9.30, then went back home to rest.
Happy 24th B'day, Fidel!
I didn’t watch many movies this week, except for the normal TV series and “Eat, Pray, Love”, which feels like the longest movie in my life. Haha.. I only love the part when Julia Roberts went to Bali… trying to identify any indonesian words that’s familiar to me. Oh, isn't it pathetic that me Indonesian haven't gone to Bali?
I think I complained a lot in this post :s On Sunday, I did my bi-weekly room cleaning, changing bed sheet, cursing the rain, then going out for a badminton @ PSA Club. We had a nice badminton for around 2 hours, then I went to a sinful dinner at Barcelos. The food is similar to Nando, which came with its signature Peri Sauce. Well, I think I had too much of its “Super Peri” and “Very Peri”, enduring a slight stomach ache now T_T
Those pretty much sum-up my second week of the year. It’s 10 PM on a Sunday night. What should I do before sleep? :)
Breezing Singapore,
ED
