So we had our gathering at Garuda last… ermm.. half a month ago? Haha… After graduation, everyone goes their own path… I literally lost contact with most of them. Thanks to the gathering, at least we get a chance to catch up. I never knew that Fajar is now working at Yahoo! Indonesia… and I didn’t know that Nelman is working at SMU. Lukas is closely monitoring my Parkway Medical entry, and not sure where is Vily now? It was a good time to catch up… yet.. despite trying to organize it as early as 3 months ago, half of them still can’t make it T_T hope that next year will be better. Hahaha…

Just outside Garuda - Orchard Central :)
Anyway, it was my first time eating at Garuda @ Orchard Central (I lost count of my buffet quota. My resolution of one buffet per quarter is not really achievable T_T) The food looked good… but the whole dining experience wasn’t really satisfying. I believe it’s the service. We had to ask 3x before the rice is served to us. I don’t know how many times I asked for water before they finally poured me one. The food was kinda cold and they don’t really have lots of variety. It just made me miss the real Garuda in Medan even more :( Ok, even if the food is not too great, at least it provide a good place for us to chit chat :p We stayed there from 6.15pm in the evening until the restaurant is closed at almost 10pm. Hahaha!
If I have to summarize my working life from the past two weeks in one word, I will pick the word “Hectic”. I don’t really want to elaborate more. I hope that my colleague has enjoyed his MTA and will come back fresh. I doubt that next week will be any much better – my boss is taking leave and has appointed me as his delegate. Heh. Ok… on the positive note, despite having to stay until 12am almost every working day, I managed to keep weekend for myself :)
Last weekend was unique! We spent two days sitting in Singapore Indoor Stadium watching the Li-Ning Singapore Open. It was my first time watching a live sport, and I was truly enjoying it. The fans’ spirit was amazing :D I never thought that there can be so much drama in sport – the way the player go all out to catch the shuttlecock, the way they insult the line judge, the way they throw the towels & rackets for audiences, the way – you know who – say sorry for not playing in final… hahaha… It was really an experience for me. Thanks that Indonesia got one gold medal… it makes my sore throat worthwhile.

The winning moment at first Final match – Indo vs China – 27 – 25!! on a rubber set!

The happy fans :p
Last Friday’s was the last day for one of DB’s intern – Kanika. Being a responsible buddy (hahaha… actually, far from that…), we had a farewell lunch at Marche. There are 11 of us, I’m really thankful that Marche is not that crowded. I picked their Chicken Vegetable Pasta with Cream Sauce. Oh God, it was nyummy and sinful at the same time. After lunch, we had some photos session before going back to office… Kanika, I wish you all the best for your final year study in NTU! Hope to see you back next year :)

Outside of Marche with Interns – How time flies! I’m easily one of the oldest there.
This weekend, I get back to my normal routine. Woke up early on Saturday for a 10km jogging, did my house cleaning roster, went for a lunch with Winson at Tiong Bahru, then went to Chinatown hunting some best holiday deals for my brothers. Gosh, those fancy itineraries really awaken my holiday mood. I want holiday!! 2 more months to go… hmm :) After Chinatown, I went for swimming at Buona Vista, then went back home, relax a bit, had our dinner, follow by Glee + Outsource before dozing off…
Sunday started with badminton at Lake Side (Yuan Ching Secondary School). The place was quite hidden and it took us almost 30 mins to find it… It was really hot and I was almost losing my temper… and then it’s subdued by the fact that we book only 1 court but got to play at 3 for free. Haha.. Coincidentally, all the people played are actually those who went to watch the Li-Ning Singapore Open. Talking about inspiration, eh? :D after badminton, we had a quick lunch at the canteen near MRT, then I went back home for a quick nap…
…I have to thank my dad to wake me up at 3pm… I might be sleeping until night otherwise. The weather is burning hot outside… so we decided to stay at home and relax for the rest of the weekend :)
Ok, that’s all for now… Two more weeks to Jurong Lake Run! I’m all ready, Roar!
