On that eve of Hari Raya Puasa, 15 of us travelled all the way to the east for a gathering, farewell, and celebration!

| Pasir Risk Park! |
It was my first time being to Pasir Ris Park, and I didn’t expect it to be so secluded! After you go out from the last MRT station, you have to walk around 10 minutes to the car park area, and then another 15 minutes to the BBQ areas. The place was really quiet – a really big difference from east coast.

| Some of our BBQ ingredients - looks healthier year by year |
When I reached there, few friends were already there, busy lighting up the fire. Soon enough, the fire was lit, and we started to grill some sausages. Annnnd… soon enough, the cloud turned dark and it started to rain =__=’’
 |
| The fire starter group! |
Every other BBQ-ers went to find some sheltered areas, but not us. We were determined to BBQ through the rain! It was really hard to start the fire, and we can’t afford to redo it again (no more starter). Very fast, each of us assumed a role. The guys do the grilling; the girls held the umbrella for the guys and doing some supervision work to ensure people didn’t get stomachache after the BBQ session.

| Grilling in Progress |
Thankfully, the rain wasn’t very heavy and it stopped after around 15 mins. We had so much fun and laughter that I kind of hope that the rain would continue. Soon enough, we had enough food and everyone started to take turn eating and grilling :D

| First batch of well cooked-looking food :p |
 |
| Group Shot - First Attempt - The background lights spoiled the pic! |
 |
| Group Shot - Second Attempt - moved location, still the same issue |
 |
| Group Shot - Third Attempt - given up afterwards ^^; |
It was around 9pm when my tummy said I couldn’t take any more food. We continued chatting until around 9.30pm, then started to clean up and headed back to MRT.
 |
| One of the benefit of taking MRT from Pasir Ris - It's almost empty! |
 |
| Two full rows of our group - two other Medanese joined not so long after |
Rin, All the best for your master in Sustainable Energy in DTU! Come back and make us proud! :) It will always be one of the most memorable BBQ ever!
